Teaching for critical thinking

Creativity and critical thinking are key skills for complex, globalised and increasingly digitalised economies and societies, and these can be trained to promote active citizens in all areas. This active workshop will give insights about what is critical thinking and what strategies can promote critical thinking in higher education. There will be space to think collaboratively about your own teaching area.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Classifying learning strategies in terms of critical thinking.
  2. Judging critical thinking learning strategies to select the most appropriate to promote critical thinking.
  3. Design a short plan to apply one activity to train critical thinking in higher education.
