Focus session: student participation in U!REKA

During the U!REKA 2022 Conference, students from HOGENT, Lisbon and Frankfurt were joined by teaching and administrative staff from U!REKA partner institutions to discuss student participation within the partnership during a focus session called ‘Student participation in U!REKA. What?!’

U!REKA selected to become a European University Alliance

U!REKA SHIFT proposal successful in European Commission EUI 2023 programme. The Urban Research and Education Knowledge Alliance (U!REKA) is pleased to announce that its U!REKA SHIFT proposal has been selected by the European Commission for funding in the European Universities Initiative (EUI) call 2023. This means that U!REKA will become an official Erasmus+ co-funded European University Alliance, with an expanded partner network and a common vision of climate neutrality and beyond.

What could urban living look like in the future?

Students and lecturers from all over Europe came together for the ‘Urban Commons School: Commoning the Post-Covid City’ in Frankfurt from 6-9 October 2021, to learn from each other and exchange perspectives on life in our future cities. This autumn school was hosted by the U!REKA Lab: Urban Commons, an interdisciplinary blended learning and research programme focusing on urban commons and other co-creation initiatives in the participating U!REKA partner cities: Amsterdam, Ghent, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Lisbon and Ostrava.
