At the beginning of February 2025, Frankfurt UAS scientists welcomed Prof Dr Petr Machník, professor of Computer Science at the Technická univerzita Ostrava. The aim of his visit in Frankfurt was to explore possible areas of cooperation and to delve deeper into the planning of a U!REKA summer school.

VSB-TUO teaches and conducts research in the fields of telecommunications, electrical engineering, automotive engineering and hydrogen technology. What is special for the Frankfurt post-scientists: The university has an independent right to award doctorates and is therefore a suitable partner for our technical degree programmes.

Prof Dr Machník spent two days getting to know Frankfurt UAS and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in particular. After a campus tour, he went to the House of Science and Transfer to visit laboratories that are important for a partnership. The guest paid particular attention to telecommunications technology and the Frankfurt Robotic Science Team. On behalf of Frankfurt UAS, Professors Dr Armin Lehmann and Dr Ulrich Trick are looking forward to the future professional collaboration.
