What is the purpose of the event?
The aim is to:
- Learn from concrete cooperation between a partner university and a city or region
- Work collaboratively on key challenges identified by cities and regions
- Identify opportunities for joint initiatives, pilots, and projects within the U!REKA alliance and Horizon Europe funding
What are the highlights of the event?
This online event is designed to be highly interactive, focusing on dialogue, knowledge exchange, and co-creation rather than presentations. The event programme includes:
- Keynote from the Municipality of Oeiras: Alexandra Melo Vasconcelos: Insights into successful city–university collaboration
- Facilitated breakout room discussions on three city-driven topics:
- Adapting to climate change
- Informing citizens and enabling decision-making
- Emission-free traffic
