To participate, you must:
- be enrolled at one of the U!REKA partner universities,
- meet the specific requirements of the chosen internship opportunity (these may vary depending on the host organisation and are outlined directly in each internship description).

- What? Project 4A4PEDs regarding energy positive districts comprising 1) the technical analysis of the local energy systems and 2) the governance aspects, including citizen participations
- When? March 1st, 2026 (flexible)
- How long? Minimum of four weeks
- Field of study: Engineering
- Level: Bachelor
- Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of and interest in (1) energy technology and systems, (2) systems analysis and modelling, (3) methods and tools in the social research, (4) working with urban stakeholders and (5) interdisciplinary research.

- What? Contribution to the U!REKA project UrbanSWARM. Nature-based solutions for water stress and biodiversity.

- How long? Minimum of four weeks
- Field of study: Multidisciplinary, urban planning, architecture, economics, social sciences
- Level: Advanced Bachelor level (3rd year or higher)
- Prerequisites: Multidisciplinary and willingness to work in a project team environment

- What? Contribution to the project Smart Buildings for Climate Neutral Cities: data collection, processing and analysis.

- How long? Minimum of eight weeks
- Field of study: Engineering, ICT
- Level: Advanced Bachelor level (3rd year or higher)
- Prerequisites: Strong background in data management and systems modelling. Intermediate level in building data collection, processing and analysis, modelling and programming.

- What? Contribution to the university’s Media Lab
- When? April or October 2026
- How long? Minimum of four weeks, maximum of three months
- Field of study: Media production
- Level: Bachelor and Master
- Prerequisites: Technical skills, e.g. operating and maintaining of common camcorder, photo and action cam models, editing programmes DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro Content, basic knowledge of various formats of visual university communication, theoretical knowledge of culture and media.

- What? Shadowing during daily operations in the K.I.D.S. Kindergarten.
- When? Winter months or mid of September
- How long? Minimum of four weeks
- Field of study: Open to all who are interested in working with preschool children.
- Level: Open to all levels.

HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts
- What? You will be involved in one of the research projects at the Fashion and Textiles Innovation Lab (FTILab+): research on biobased materials and low impact processes, comfort, smart textiles.
- When? February or September 2026
- How long? 2-4 months
- Field of study: Textiles
- Level: Bachelor or Master
- Prerequisites: Minimum intermediate knowledge of (1) textile technologies, such as spinning, knitting, weaving and finishing, and (2) fashion technologies, such as patterning and assembling. Good knowledge of chemistry.

Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
- What? You will contribute to a cooperation project of Metropolia and Nokia. It focuses on creating a digital twin of the Nokia Espoo Innovation Garage. The work includes 3D modeling, developing gameplay like mechanics to enhance user experience, VR/AR applications, IoT sensor integration, interactive and visual solutions, and real time data processing.

- Level: Bachelor, preferably final year student
- Prerequisites: We are looking for interns with interest or experience in game technologies, interactive environments, and immersive applications.

- What? Research internship for students to gain skills in data science/data engineering using a data-centric AI approach to enrich and use graph data for recommendation systems.
- When? April/May 2026 or September/November 2026 (flexible)
- How long? Minimum of four weeks
- Field of study: Computer science /Information technologies
- Level: Bachelor / Master
- Prerequisites: At least advanced bachelor’s level (3rd year or higher). Student from a computer science or information technology degree programme. Strong background in data management systems. Good programming and probability skills.

- What? Research internship for students wanting to learn data analytics skills, combining visualisation, AI and decision support.
- When? April/May 2026 or September/November 2026 (flexible)
- How long? Minimum of four weeks
- Field of study: Computer science /Information technologies
- Level: Bachelor / Master
- Prerequisites: At least advanced bachelor’s level (3rd year or higher). Student from a computer science or information technology degree programme with good programming skills. Knowledge of data visualisation, human-computer interaction and machine learning is welcome.

VSB-Technical University of Ostrava
- What? Contribution to the faculty of civil engineering: diagnostics of structures, structural design, laboratory work, evaluation of experimental outputs and data, computations. All activities will be supervised.
- When? April or October 2026
- How long? Eight weeks
- Field of study: Civil engineering
- Level: Last year of Bachelor or Master
- Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of structural mechanics, materials for structures, laboratory work, computer programme for design of structures.
