U!REKA’s applied research and innovation foster evidence-based solutions for climate-neutral and smart cities. We reinforce the decision-making of local and European partners with advanced knowledge for sustainable strategies. With challenge-based learning, students are encouraged to shape the cities of tomorrow through research that matters.
Centres of Expertise
U!REKA applied research and innovation activities are organised in three Centres of Expertise (CoE). The objectives of these Centres are to integrate and strengthen existing research frameworks of the alliance, to share best practices in research and innovation and to bring together the research strengths of U!REKA partners to create shared knowledge and purposeful impact.
Knowledge-creating community
The U!REKA knowledge-creating community is a vital platform for collaboration and peer exchange. It identifies and prioritizes the challenges urban stakeholders encounter on the path to climate-neutral, resilient, inclusive, and circular societies. These challenges shape U!REKA’s research and innovation focus.
