Ready to tackle a real climate challenge?
What if you had two days, a team of ambitious students and a real challenge facing Amsterdam – and were asked to come up with a solution?
That’s the CLIMATHON.
Over two intensive days, you’ll team up with other students, explore a real local climate challenge, turn ideas into solutions and pitch your best idea to a jury.
No long lectures. You will be doing.
Important: You are expected to participate on both days. On October 12th from 9:00 – 19:30 and on October 13th from 9:00 – 17:30. Location: Wibauthuis (WBH), Wibautstraat 3b, 1091 GH Amsterdam.
DAY 1: 12 October 9:00-19:30
Challenge → Idea
You’ll get introduced to a real local climate challenge and form a team with other students.
Together, you’ll:
- Understand the challenge and who it affects
- Explore the problem from different perspectives
- Brainstorm and generate ideas
- Select your strongest idea
- Get feedback from other participants
- Start shaping your solution
DAY 2: 13 October 9:00-17:30
Idea → Solution → Pitch
Now it’s time to make your idea stronger.
You’ll:
- Develop your solution
- Test your assumptions
- Get coaching and feedback
- Build your final pitch
- Pitch your solution to a jury
Then we’ll select the winning team. And yes, there is a prize!
… a Venture Crawl in London!
The winning team will have the opportunity to join a Venture Crawl in London in 2027, visiting a partner university and experiencing its entrepreneurial ecosystem. Expenses will be covered by us! (Travel and local transportation costs, accomodation, and a daily allowance)
