U!REKA staff training: Procrastination and Time Management

This course provides participants with the tools and techniques necessary to manage their time more effectively, enhancing productivity and reducing stress. The training covers key principles of time management, such as goal setting, prioritization, and delegation. Participants will learn how to identify time wasters, create efficient schedules, and balance work-life demands. Through practical exercises, learners will develop personalized time management strategies that can be applied in both professional and personal settings.

Learning outcomes: 

  1. Set SMART Goals: Define and set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals to guide their time management efforts.
  1. Prioritize Tasks: Use tools like the Eisenhower Matrix to differentiate between urgent and important tasks, ensuring that time is allocated to high-priority activities.
  1. Plan and Schedule: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans that effectively allocate time to key tasks while allowing for flexibility.
  1. Identify and Eliminate Time Wasters: Recognize common time-wasting activities and implement strategies to minimize or eliminate them.
  1. Improve Focus and Concentration: Apply techniques to enhance focus and minimize distractions, leading to more productive work sessions.
  1. Delegate Effectively: Understand the importance of delegation and learn how to delegate tasks appropriately to optimize team performance.
  1. Balance Work and Life: Develop strategies to maintain a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal life, reducing burnout.
  1. Use Time Management Tools: Become proficient in using various time management tools and apps, such as calendars, to-do lists, and project management software.
