Course overview
This course enables students to:
- analyse, design, and visualise business processes using BPMN.
- understand and bridge the gap between IT and business.
- apply ERP, CRM, and SAP concepts.
- manage projects using professional methodologies and tools.
Course content
Topics that are covered in this course:
- The role of ICT in a company.
- The gap between ICT and business – how can this gap be bridged?
- The ITIL framework.
- The concept service Level agreement.
- Processes: incident management, change management, problem management, service management.
- Most important business processes.
- What is a project, what are the objectives of project working?
- Business Model Canvas.
- Introduction in BPMN and process modeling.
- Advantages and disadvantages of an ERP, CRM.
- Introduction in SAP.
- Basic processes in SAP ERP and CRM.
- Architecture and integration capabilities of SAP.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing of course, participants can:
- independently design and visualize a complex process using BPMN after elicitation.
- analyze and map business processes.
- defend their own design of a business process.
- understand business processes and visualize simple and existing processes using BPMN.
- explain the basic processes of the IT organization (based on ITIL).
- explain and illustrate the gap between IT and Business.
- explain the possibilities for integrating processes in various systems such as ERP and CRM.
- explain the scope and objectives of ERP.
- explain the scope, objectives, and basic functionalities of CRM.
- explain the different modules of SAP ERP and their interrelationships.
- explain how ICT operates within a business environment.
- execute a basic process in SAP (order to cash / purchase to pay).
- interpret and explain a business canvas.
- define and situate the concepts of service catalog and SLA.
- apply project methodology and create an action plan, project plan, and risk analysis for a simple project.
