Course overview
Sustainability as a guiding principle is becoming increasingly important in business, technology, ecology, and society. Numerous criteria and guidelines provide companies and institutions with an initial point of reference on the path to designing sustainable processes.
But how can the transformation to a sustainable company/institution be achieved? What steps does my company need to take on the path to sustainable production? And how can I holistically integrate sustainability into my working environment?
Course content
- Corporate Sustainability Management: the importance of sustainability as a catalyst for change processes in a corporate context.
- Business Development Management: concepts, scope, and process of business development in companies and institutions of various sizes.
- Business Unit Development: the interdependency between the strategic development of companies, business units, and products/services.
- Transformation Management: implementation of change processes aimed at improving the adaptability and resilience of the company.
- Holistic Thinking: understanding the dynamics and interdependencies within the organization and its relationship to the external environment
- Strategy Development: development of strategies based on a deep understanding of the systemic nature of the business
Learning outcomes
Students will learn to identify areas that are relevant to becoming a sustainable company, develop integrated sustainability strategies, and implement them. In doing so, they will adopt different perspectives, recognize connections in complex systems, and navigate their company or business unit confidently and proactively through upcoming transformations.
After completing the certificate course, they will be able to design the sustainability management of their company/institution in a strategic and future-oriented manner.
This Master course concludes with a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS).
