Train-the-Trainer Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC) is a course to prepare trainers to facilitate the IoC for lecturers course. The TTT will take place in the spring semester 2025, and the IoC course will be facilitated in the fall of 2025. The aim of the TTT is to empower trainers to engage with the content, become experts in this topic and teach lecturers to internationalise their curriculum. Effective communication in multicultural academic settings requires understanding diverse communication styles, cultural nuances, and strategies for overcoming potential barriers. This workshop will explore key communication theories, including high-context vs. low-context cultures, verbal and nonverbal communication differences, and strategies for fostering inclusive communication. The session will consist of one hour of theoretical training and 30 minutes of interactive exercises to apply key concepts in practice.
