Reimagining nature

Course overview

This course is specifically designed for teachers who are interested in exploring a range of artistic and creative methods that offer new ways of looking at nature and the role of humans in it.

Course content

During this course, artists, designers, and researchers share new perspectives and methods for examining our changing relationships with nature. We explore digital and speculative imagination techniques that allow you and your students to speculate about future sea-level rise, to highlight stories of animals and plants in human-made environments, and to discover ways to make the use of controversial natural resources open for discussion. This course offers an inspiring journey to broaden your perspectives and integrate innovative methods into your teaching.

Learning outcomes

After completing this course, you will be able to apply these methods in your own teaching context and to engage your students in the essential question: “What is a sustainable future?”
