What could urban living look like in the future?
Students and lecturers from all over Europe came together for the ‘Urban Commons School: Commoning the Post-Covid City’ in Frankfurt from 6-9 October 2021, to learn from each other and exchange perspectives on life in our future cities. This autumn school was hosted by the U!REKA Lab: Urban Commons, an interdisciplinary blended learning and research programme focusing on urban commons and other co-creation initiatives in the participating U!REKA partner cities: Amsterdam, Ghent, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Lisbon and Ostrava.
U!REKA hosts panel at the European Week of Regions and Cities
Experts from U!REKA institutions and the Secretary of State for European Affairs from the German State of Hessen discussed the role of urban universities in contributing to the sustainable and green recovery of cities.
How to design a COIL project
Workshop series with Eva Haug continues in November. The “U!REKA Introduction to COIL” workshop series on the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) method kicked-off in April 2021 and attracted many interested lecturers from different U!REKA institutions. The workshops led by Eva Haug (U!REKA partner Amsterdam UAS) were held over three weeks, offering inspiring sessions and a wonderful training which was received enthusiastically by participants.
